Confirm your address for your GI Map test kit shipment
Within 72 business hours, you’ll receive an email from Rupa Health to confirm your shipping address.
👉 Important: Don’t delete the email from Rupa Health as it’s required to send your test kit.
Activate Your Practice Better Account
You’ll also receive an invitation to join our Practice Better client portal (HIPAA compliant).
Once activated, you’ll be able to view your test results (once available), protocols, and educational modules under Programs on your home page.
Schedule Your Initial Assessment
Fill out your assessment form under the Forms tab and schedule your initial assessment. This is required before reviewing your stool test results.
Complete & Return Your GI Map Test
Once your kit arrives, follow the included instructions and send your sample back to the lab. Need help? View our GI Map collection instructions
If you are in NY, NJ, RI OR International, PLEASE do not skip these instructions!
Once we receive your results (usually 7–10 business days), you’ll receive an email with a link to book your results review call.
You’ll also receive an intake form to complete 48 hours before your appointment as this helps us personalize your session.
Please note: Results can take up to 2 weeks once shipped. NY, NJ & RI residents must follow special mailing instructions (details provided in your kit).

Before You Go — A Few FAQs

What if I need to take magnesium to have a bowel movement?
You can take magnesium, miralax, Linzess or any other stimulant that will help you have a bowel movement. It will not impact the test.
How long does it take for results?
Results take anywhere from 7-10 business days. Please wait 2 weeks from the date you send your sample before emailing us to ask about your results. Once we receive the results then you will be able to book your review appointment
Yes, if you need to collect your stool sample and refrigerate for 1 day before bringing to FedEx that is ok.
What if I have to take antibiotics?
If you have to take antibiotics prior to completing the test, please wait 4 weeks to collect your sample. Please email our team to let us know about this at happygut@drheatherfinley.co
Will my diet or supplements the day before impact the results?
Yes, please see the instructions for supplements to avoid prior to the test.
Will this tell me if I have gluten sensitivity?
Yes, but you must be consuming gluten for it to be accurate. Please see instructions.
Can I send the sample from NY, NJ or RI?
No, you cannot send the sample from NY, NJ or RI. If you are based in these states please ship your test kit to a family member or friend outside of the state and have them mail it to you. You CAN ship it back from NY/NJ/RI.
How frequently will I have appointments?
It is best to schedule appointments monthly for 3 months. Your sessions will expire after 4 months so make sure to use all of them 4 months from your purchase date.
